Inspired by Dougie, our avid (but fortunately hopeless) bee hunter!
I wanted to capture the feeling of hope in this piece. I love that look of wonder on Dougie’s face, as the bee flies over him.
As soon as our lavender beds come into bloom, our garden is all abuzz with bees and Dougie loves nothing more than watching them, seemingly curious, before he leaps into a flying snap, trying to catch them! Luckily, he has never succeeded in his hopeful bee hunting!
