This piece was inspired by one of those everyday moments that makes you laugh and sigh in the same breath ~ the kind only a mischievous pup can create.
I’d come home to find my vase of fresh tulips, once standing proudly in the centre of the dining table, looking… well, a little worse for wear. Stems and leaves still standing tall ~ and just one lone petal clinging on for dear life. The rest? Scattered across the table like a confetti-covered crime scene. It could only have been the work of one culprit: my cheeky puppy, Dougie.
Painted in soft watercolour and expressive ink lines, ‘Petal Thief’ is a light-hearted nod to all the dogs out there who keep us on our toes ~ the ones who cause chaos one minute and melt your heart the next.
